Tempered

Now the wielder of Kyllan's Flame and a Councilwoman, Rae Airynn faces a far bigger threat than she battled in the arena: war. But Rae is drowning. Her veins burn with the power of the Medallion. Her lungs seize every time she thinks about the betrayal that almost ended her life.

When the Council is threatened, she'll have to work with the son of the man she hates most in the world, the one who yielded the Flame to her, the one who might not be what he seemed—Damon Sparr.

With political games and assassination attempts at every corner, Rae must make impossible decisions that will have consequences for all of Hierathynn—some good, some very bad. But she's only human... right?

Tempered by Nicole Batey tells a story of betrayal, love, and overcoming trauma in the face of unspeakable odds in the second book in The Medallion Series.
