Book Hero thinking about your next read

"A young girl hears messages that she's too sensitive and needs to change. The messages travel into her body, and she ultimately changes the negative comments into an affirmation that being sensitive is her strength"--

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

You feel way too much. / Will you stop being dramatic?

This tender picture book follows a girl who is told she is too intense, too sensitive, too much. She's advised to grow a thicker skin, but the words of others slip right through. They somersault around inside and press against her heart.

What can she do to stop the hurt?

She needs to take time alone to think and read, rest and create.

Thoughtful text, detailed collage illustrations, and an unexpected word puzzle combine in Sara Levine and Mehrdokht Amini's moving portrayal of a girl who discovers that what others call a weakness can also be a gift.

Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

Sensitive by Sara Levine is praised for its ability to validate sensitive children and help them understand themselves better. It offers insight into the feelings experienced by sensitive children, providing a helpful message to adult caregivers to gain a better perspective of a child's sensitivity.
