In After Me Too: A Guide to Thriving After Sexual Abuse, Chand Sahrawat draws on lived experience, trauma research, counselling and coaching principles to explore the difficult question that follows survival: How do I build my life from here?
Chand shares her own story, but this is not simply a memoir. The heart of the book is a practical pathway built around three stagesβVictim, Survivor and Thrivingβdesigned to help readers understand the effects of trauma without allowing trauma to define the rest of their lives.
Readers will explore physical and emotional safety, PTSD and the nervous system, shame and self-blame, disclosure, grief, intimacy, healthcare, accountability, forgiveness, breaking trauma cycles, parenting through trauma and ultimately reclaiming their personal power.
With practical exercises, grounding strategies, reflection questions and international support resources, After Me Too speaks directly to survivors while also helping partners, family members and supporters better understand the journey beside them.
The message is clear: what happened matters. But it does not have to write the ending.

About the Author
Chand Sahrawat is an author, speaker, and certified life coach who helps founders and leaders recover from burnout and rebuild their wellbeing. She holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Graduate Diploma in Teaching (Secondary) from the University of Auckland, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Guidance Counselling) from Massey University, and a Graduate Certificate in Coaching from the Southern Institute of Technology. She brings that training, and her own lived experience, to everything she does.She is the founder of Goal Getters, a life-coaching practice focused on founder well-being. She also co-owns two Michelin-selected, two-hatted Auckland restaurants, Cassia and The French CafΓ©, with her husband, executive chef Sid Sahrawat, and is co-founder of Cassia at Home, a premium curry sauce range stocked in supermarkets across New Zealand. She is a University of Auckland 40 Under 40 honouree and a Cuisine Magazine Women of Influence recipient.
