Description
After the publication of BranD Issue 54, whose theme is Come and Wrestle: Designer vs. Hanzi, we came up with the idea to have interviews with designers from different cities around the world. This concept stemmed from our extensive research and new understanding of foreign typefaces for the magazine's layout.
We learned that type design is challenging in any script through the detailed and meticulous responses of our interviewees. There is always a story behind type design, and designers need to consider various problems during the type design process. Each effort is like an attack, requiring perseverance as the most basic principle, whether the project is simple or complicated.
In essence, type design presents a form of sportsmanship.
