Summary

N. Dash is the first monograph dedicated to the work of an emerging American artist known for her abstract, process-driven art. Employing a wide array of natural and man-made materials—including pigments, clay, jute, graphite, and found objects—N. Dash explores intuitive, tactile communication systems. Her art uniquely blends raw textures with sensitivity, merging the abject and the beautiful. The book also situates her work within important art historical and anthropological frameworks.
