About the Author

Graham Langton was a mountaineer for many years and is a member of the New Zealand Alpine Club. He has devoted considerable energy to teaching, researching and writing about New Zealand’s history, and this has included a PhD thesis, several books, and many articles on the history of New Zealand mountain climbing.
