Going to the Zoo

About the Author

Tom Paxton is an American folk singer whose career spans many decades. His place in folk music is secured not just by hit records and awards, but by the admiration of three generations of fellow musicians. An internationally recognised and loved cultural figure, he has always chosen goodwill over commercial success.

Tom Paxton received a 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy during the 51st Annual Grammy Awards and several Grammy nominations for his records in the early 2000s, including Your Shoes, My Shoes, an album of his original music for children.

Greg Holfeld has worked in the arts for over thirty years, telling stories with pictures through illustration, comic books, children's books, television commercials, storyboards and animated films. His career began in Canada, but since 1991 he's been based in Adelaide, South Australia with stops and excursions to London, Tokyo, Hiroshima and Los Angeles.

His work is very much driven by a love of drawing and engagement with traditional materials. For Greg, digital tools will complement that process, but never replace it. And he seems to find himself drawing a lot of monkeys and birds for some reason.

When not at the drawing board, Greg is in the garden or a swimming pool, doing his best to keep things alive and afloat.
