Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Look up! From the Caldecott Medal-winning creator of the Hat trilogy comes a new deadpan gem.

Turtle really likes standing in his favourite spot. He likes it so much that he asks his friend Armadillo to come over and stand in it, too. But now that Armadillo is standing in that spot, he has a bad feeling about it...

A hilarious meditation on the workings of friendship, fate, shared futuristic visions, and that funny feeling you get that there’s something off somewhere, but you just can’t put your finger on it.

Merging broad visual suspense with wry wit and existential silliness, celebrated picture-book creator Jon Klassen gives us a wholly original comedy for the ages in The Rock from the Sky.

Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

Saturated with Jon Klassen's characteristic wry humour, The Rock from the Sky is deemed ideal for children aged four or five and up, offering a mix of side-eyeing reptiles, shared imaginings, and narrowly avoided catastrophes. The picture book, crafted in five vignettes, is appreciated for its absurdist flavour and Klassen’s signature muted palette. Critics highlight the book's deadpan humour as both a visual examination of fate and a source of laughter, making it equally enjoyable for adults and children alike.
