Description
Even in the light, you can't outrun your shadows.
Zinha Falcona has succeeded in her most dangerous assignment yet: she infiltrated The Trial of Power, seduced the Maetorian Heir as well as his lover, and put her King on the throne of Maetora.
But perhaps death would have been preferable to betraying the men and the country she has come to love. Zinha has done the unforgivable, and is desperate for a chance to make it right. With Reyher and Mateo on the run to restore the Heir's familial power, and Baleful assassins hot on their heels, she might just have the chance to do so.
Old enemies and unexpected allies emerge in the race to reclaim the throne. And as Zinha holds the fate of the kingdom, and her lovers, in her hands, the same rule applies as before:
Succeed or die.
