Decadent, Stricken, Dying
Europe, writes Aimé Césaire, is not civilised. It is decadent, stricken, dying. In this electrifying text, Western civilisation is stripped of its alibis and exposed as the foundation of modern brutality. What shocks is not the violence itself, but the clarity: fascism was not an aberration, but a return.PaperbackSold Out
