Machine Works: 4 Cylinder Hybrid Engine Model

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Are you obsessed with cars?

Or maybe you want to pass on your love of motors and engines to others?

Then the Machine Works 4-Cylinder Hybrid Electric Engine is the perfect kit for you to build together.

This model is not meant to be a copy of any particular prototype engine but is designed to demonstrate the broad concepts of a hybrid engine. The hybrid module connected to the combustion engine doesn’t β€˜work’, but it uses fibre optic cables to show how electricity flows to the power supply when the combustion engine is running and charging, as well as how the battery surges when the engine is running on a combination of combustion and electricity or just electricity.

The model is enjoyable to construct, and the kit includes all the tools you’ll need as well as over 100 pieces to complete the operating model. It comes with its own simple, yet extensive, instruction manual featuring lots of easy-to-follow diagrams and illustrations. Each component is clearly identified and each step in the build sequence is shown in words & pictures. Finally, all 3 operating modes are domonstated: Normal/Eco/ElecΒtric. Suitable for children above the age of ten. Adult supervision is advised.

Features:

  • Model engine kits from Machine Works make excellent gifts!
  • This functional model is the perfect activity for kids and adults to do together.
  • This 100-piece kit for kids and adults is enjoyable to construct.
  • Includes all of the tools you’ll need to complete the operating model.
  • This hybrid engine is a simplified illustration of a four-cylinder internal combustion/hybrid system It illustrates the internal combustion and electric-only functions of a conventional hybrid system.
  • Requires 3 x AA (LR6) batteries - not included
