Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Brume, Volume 1 by Carine Hinder and Jérôme Pélissier introduces Brume, a feisty wannabe witch on a quest to learn magic. This enchanting graphic novel series is perfect for kids aged 7-11, especially fans of the Hicotea, Hilda, and Sorceline series.

Brume is a tiny but mighty heroine with plenty to prove to the people of her small village. With her newly discovered spellbook and two sidekicks in tow, she'll try her hand at spells, mess up sometimes, and discover magical adventures along the way.

This graphic novel was recognised as 'The Beat's Best Kids Comics of 2025' by Comics Beat and was a nominee for Best Kids Comic or Graphic Novel - Ages 11 and Under.

The great witch Naia has always protected the village-but now Naia has vanished. Enter Brume, a plucky and spirited witch-to-be, who dreams of casting spells. When Brume's father hands her a secret spellbook, she tries out her wand and cauldron and inadvertently covers the whole village in fog! But is the fog a result of Brume's first spell, or the smoke of a fire-breathing dragon who has awakened?

Accompanied by her pig, Hubert, and her best friend, Hugo, Brume sets off to discover what happened and to save the village, one step at a time. This funny, charming, and accessible graphic novel is the first in a series that is as heart-warming as it is hilarious.
