Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Bewitching Hour, The (A Tara Prequel International Paperback Edition) by Ashley Poston brings the beloved Buffy the Vampire Slayer character and LGBTQIA+ icon Tara Maclay into the spotlight. This YA prequel is brimming with '90s nostalgia, mysterious murders, and a star-crossed romance, crafted by New York Times and USA Today best-selling author Ashley Poston.

Tara Maclay isn't thrilled about starting her senior year of high school in a new town. Her plan is simple: keep her head down and maybe she can survive the year in Hellborne, Vermont without the town living up to its ominous name.

However, her strategy quickly unravels as students start turning up dead, and she's unexpectedly voted Most Likely To Have Murdered Them by her fellow seniors. To complicate matters, the new girl she's crushing on turns out to be a witch-hunter.

Given these circumstances, perhaps it’s a small mercy that Tara's magic seems to be on the fritz.

As the body count rises, Tara must face her fears, reconnect with her magical abilities, and take on a more prominent role to save the town—even if it risks her budding new relationship.
