Now in paperback, the antics of Fox and Chick continue in this hilarious early reader series by two-time Geisel Honor–winning author and illustrator Sergio Ruzzier.

“In this latest instalment to the wildly successful and endearing Fox & Chick series, readers once again find three stories that show just how much Fox and Chick care for one another. . . . A marvellous visit with familiar friends!” —Kirkus Reviews

In the tradition of Frog and Toad, this critically acclaimed series features Fox and Chick—two unlikely friends who, despite their differences, always manage to find a way to get along. In this fourth book in the series, Fox and Chick climb a tree, build a bookcase, and catch snowflakes!

LAUGH-OUT-LOUD BUDDY BOOK: From Elephant & Piggie to Frog and Toad to Ivy & Bean, young readers love fun and funny books about friendship. This unlikely duo will have readers rolling with laughter as they follow along with their antic adventures!

GREAT FOR NEW READERS: The universal characters, humour, and comic-style layout make this series ideal for emerging and newly independent readers.

AWARD-WINNING CHILDREN’S BOOK: The first book in the Fox & Chick series was awarded a Geisel Award honour for "most distinguished book for beginning readers" by the American Library Association. It was also a New York Times Notable Children's Book and appeared on many Best Book of the Year lists.

KIDS LOVE GRAPHIC NOVELS: This series will appeal to visually oriented readers as well as new readers who are eager to try out graphic novels. Great for gift-giving as a standalone or as part of the set, along with Fox & Chick: The Party, Fox & Chick: The Quiet Boat Ride, and Fox & Chick: The Sleepover.

Perfect for:

  • Kids who love animal books and friendship stories
  • Parents, educators, and librarians seeking fun and engaging series for young readers
  • Fans of best friend books like Ivy & Bean, Elephant & Piggie, Frog and Toad, Bink & Gollie, and Stick and Stone
