A hilarious guide to surviving mammoths, sabre-toothed cats and blizzards, written by experts from La Brea Tar Pits, in California. Perfect for fans of the Ice Age movies!

Travel back in time thousands of years for a chilling adventure in a frozen world.

Guided by Ice Age experts Emily L. Lindsey and Tyler Hayden, you'll be ready to face whatever is blown your way. Need to trap a woolly mammoth? Guide them toward a tar pit. Want to claim a cave as your new home? Lure out a giant sloth. Need to escape a pack of dire wolves? Well... run!

In this fun survival guide, you'll discover what to expect when venturing to a remote ice age island (spoiler: mini mammoths and giant birds!), and how to avoid being trampled on by a herd of woolly rhinos. Along the way you'll also learn about how Pleistocene people lived and discover how iconic animals survived such harsh conditions.

Hilarious graphic novel-style illustrations by award-winning artist Aaron Cushley convey the chilling thrills of the Ice Age epoch. Funny details in the illustrations will keep even the most reluctant of readers entertained.

Also available in the series: How to Survive an Apocalypse and How to Survive on the Moon.
