Book Hero thinking about your next read

Despite their many differences, Big Bear and a Little Fish find similarities between themselves and become friends.

Book Hero Magic formatted this description to make it easier to read. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! Description

Friendship comes in all sizes.

At the carnival, Bear wants to win a teddy bear as big as she is. Instead, she gets a fish. A very little fish. Bear is so very big and Fish is so very small that Bear worries they have nothing in common. With the help of Fish, Bear learns that although she and Fish are different, they are also a little the same.

Gentle, accessible prose by Sandra Nickel is paired with richly textured illustrations by Il Sung Na in this sweet story about accepting others for who they are.

Big Bear and Little Fish was named a Charlotte Huck Award Recommended Book by the National Council of Teachers of English. The Charlotte Huck Award recognises fiction that has the "potential to transform children's lives by inviting compassion, imagination, and wonder."

Book Hero Magic summarised reviews for this book. While it's new and still learning, it may not be perfect - your feedback is welcome! HOW HAS THIS BEEN REVIEWED?

The book conveys the message of exploring our similarities despite initial appearances, encouraging discussions about deeper connections beyond what is visible.
