R.A.M.A

Adam’s got problems. He’s in trouble at school and his mum doesn’t like his friends. Instead of the long, lazy summer he’d been looking forward to, mostly spent gaming, he’s sent to live with his uncle at a commune in Golden Bay. A place so remote there’s no internet or cell phone coverage and he’s expected to work. He hates it.

After helping at a whale stranding, his uncle sees a softening in his attitude but then, in the middle of the night, Adam vanishes without trace. He’s been taken by R.A.M.A, a lonely computer left behind, thousands of years ago, by alien visitors and his world changes. Together they discover a secret plot to mine for rhodium. A project that will pollute the Antarctic seas and destroy the delicate food web that begins there.

Thousands of sea creatures, from krill to fish to whales, will die. They have to stop them but the problem is they don’t know how.
