Description

Messy Monkeys tells the tale of a little girl named Macy who is followed around by too many monkeys! These monkeys get in the way, they disturb, distract and frustrate Macy until she pauses her day and listens to them. Readers learn an important technique to calm emotions and find inner peace.

Everywhere Macy goes, messy monkeys are there to ruin her day! They're in her bed when she's trying to sleep, at the table when she's eating her cereal, and even hovering over her when she's in school. These messy monkeys are always making too much noise, pinching her and squeezing her.

Macy has an idea. She decides to stop and listen to these pesky, messy monkeys. In doing so, she hears what they need. Some want a hug, others just want to know she cares. It was Macy's attention that these monkeys craved! When she listens to her monkeys, Macy learns to love and accept each one of them and in doing so, Macy quiets her mind.

Messy Monkeys is a helpful guide to both children and adults struggling with the noises in their heads. It's a gentle hand in a sea of chaos that many will find useful, and an important message about the mental health of children.
