Description
First Fairy Tales Princess and the Pea is a traditional story retold in entertaining rhyme in this chunky padded boardbook. When a handsome prince begins to lose hope of ever meeting a real princess to marry, his mother, the queen, has a cunning idea to test an unexpected visitor.
Big, bright illustrations and simple rhyming text make this book ideal for reading aloud to small children, or for more confident readers to enjoy by themselves. Youngsters can also have fun counting how many times the prince's little brown dog appears.
One day a handsome young prince said, "I want a real princess to wed." "I'm a princess," many girls cried, but the prince knew that they all lied. Dejected, he sat down and sighed, "I do so want a royal bride." One stormy night, the lightning flashed, rain poured down, and thunder crashed. Who could that be knocking at the door? Read this book and find out more...!
